The initials RPH in our call sign stand for Radio for the Print Handicapped of NSW.  We are a special purpose radio station, with more than half our funding supplied by Government sources.  We have memberships, fund raising and sponsorships.There’s no other radio station quite like an RPH station!2RPH provides a radio reading service for people who cannot see, handle or understand printed material.  We do so in one way or another for 17 hours a day. That’s the sole reason we’re here.

WRBH 88.3 FM began as the dream of a local mathematician, Dr. Robert McClean. Dr. McClean was blind, but he had a vision: a reading radio station that would operate on the FM dial (rather than on sideband frequencies which require special radios to pick up the signal), with strong programming content that would change and improve the lives of blind and visually impaired persons who wanted to lead productive, fulfilling lives in their communities. He leased airtime from WWNO, then bought the 88.3 FM signal and rented space from the Lighthouse for the Blind facilities in New Orleans.

WUWF's SightLine provides volunteer read content, of local and regional interest, to area residents with vision impairment or other disabilities which make it difficult to read. SightLine also carries national programming from the Gatewave service which provides audio versions of many national publications. 

The Pensacola News Journal is read live daily from the WUWF studios and broadcast on WSRE's SAP (secondary audio program) channel, WUWF's HD-3 channel, and streamed online at wuwf.org. The reading is also recorded and rebroadcast from 12-2pm, 9-11pm and midnight—2am each day.

WJCT Radio Reading Service enriches and empowers the lives of individuals in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia who are visually impaired and print-challenged. Our closed circuit radio station broadcasts commercial-free readings of local and national newspapers, magazines, books, and much more 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Founded on May 3, 1993, it remains the only service of its kind on the First Coast.

Audio Journal is a nonprofit radio and online service that broadcasts news and information to Worcester County residents who are blind or otherwise unable to access visual information. We connect listeners to the community by reading local and national publications and hosting a variety of programs. Audio Journal also works to increase employment opportunities for individuals who are legally blind through educational and other associated services.

The KPBS Radio Reading Service broadcasts the readings of newspapers, books and magazines to those with low vision, blindness and other impairments. Airing 24 hours a day over a private audio channel, the Reading Service is accessible to qualified recipients in San Diego through a specialized radio, and online via audio webstream. All readings are produced by volunteers.

Easy Listening

Central Kentucky Radio Eye is a radio reading service for those who are unable to access the printed word. We broadcast the reading of current newspapers, magazines, health materials, grocery ads, and much more, offering greater independent living to people who are blind, visually impaired, or physically handicapped. Listeners can access our 24/7 broadcast on special pre-tuned Radio Eye radios or online at www.radioeye.org.

Radio 1RPH informs and entertains listeners across the Canberra, Wagga Wagga and Junee regions by turning print into sound.

Each day our volunteers read from the major daily newspapers, including the Canberra Times, and from popular international and Australian magazines, journals, serialised books and community newsletters.

Radio 1RPH broadcasts from 7.00am until late into the evening, with the BBC World Service broadcasting overnight.

The Radio Talking Book Network serves Nebraska’s blind and visually impaired community. It provides its listeners with an easy to use alternative method of “reading” in two ways: first, as a constant companion who reads to them what they cannot see; second, as a conduit for local, updated information to assist them in leading self-directed lives.

The Radio Talking Book Network broadcasts news and information programming on sub carrier frequencies of National Public Radio affiliates KIOS-FM in Omaha, KUCV-FM in Lincoln and the nine stations of the Nebraska Public Television Network.  Special radio receivers are loaned to eligible listeners at no cost.
